Mom and Pop downsize!

Dad and Kevin look so nice by our cute little new car.   It is a Subaru Forester.  It  is a whiz to drive
and it turns on a dime.  Dad loves it and so does Mom.

Our new car goes along with our new roof (no more indoor rain).  The workmen finished in two
days and did a good job.

The new roof looks good.  It blends in with the other houses.  We had to say goodby to shake shingles.

The last new thing in our lives is an actress...Her name is Johanna and she played Dorothy in the
Wizard of Oz.  We are so proud of you Johanna.

Sunday was a beautiful day for a drive with Kevin in our new car.  This land is by the Fowlers house.
Love and good luck to all our dear family.       Mom & Dad

April activities

Dad standing in front of the 'glory tree'.

The 'glory tree' after midnight.
'Forget me not' flowers  after midnight.  The air was fragrent, it was pure magic!

I got this cart for Sherene at Costco and thought a picture would be funny.  The joke is on me
because I look like I need it!

This is one of my coloring book pages.  I will be doing 22 drawings altogether.

This is another.  Most of the borders will be a little more simple.   We love you all.  Thank you for
putting new pictures on your blogs.   Mom & Dad

Spring in Salem

Our "Daffys" are so pretty in early Spring.  Even the rain doesn't dampen their happy blooms.

Even after completing hundreds of horses for the Carousel, Dad makes more for himself.  He's a champ!

Kevin went to the Doctor today, then we stopped by the capital to see the blossoms.  Beautiful!

The fountain looked pretty with blooms as a background.  Kevin and Mom loved the fragrent air.

We were so glad we stopped to look.  Tomorrow's prediction:  Rain!   Love to all.  Mom& Dad

Girl's week 2012

The lovely Johanna sets the stage for our fun day in Sedona Arizona

Ray and Kathleen's beautiful daughters adorned the desert with their beauty and youth.

Danielle met the frog prince during lunch break and shopping.

We loved the southwest architecture and the warm weather.

We met some interesting characters at the pie shoppe restaurant.

Johanna giving up her beauty secret by the pool.

Every beautiful daughter has a beautiful mother.  How do the Hoth girls keep their bloom?
Skin care dear, it's all in the skin....

A nice day in January

Dear family, I guess the best way to get a picture is to take it myself.  See what a great day we have!

Kevin had a shot at the hospital then came home and watched the "Rescuers."

He also loved a bit of cheese and a pepsi.

The Achievement Girls had fun with clay.

Grandpa continues to work on the carousel horses at an amazing pace.

We thank you for your postings, and look forward to the flowers of spring.

Dad's 70th birthday

Dad had a wonderful day starting with a few gifts and a phone call.

Thank you Katy and Jake for the wonderful food box.   Ray loved it.  He also loved the pictures the family worked so hard to send.

We are going to leave the picture cards up all month.  They make us both happy.  Back to birthday, Dad
added balloons.

This was followed by more gifts and a few more phone calls.  P.S. Great shirt Jen!!!

We went to lunch at Ray's favorite place and dined on fish and chips.

Ray got a free treat and a big fish head.  At this point he is a pretty happy mackeral!

Wow, more presents, and what could it be?  MONEY!!!

More MONEY!!!

And...and...EVEN MORE MONEY!!!

A few friends and neighbors came at 6:30 for cake and ice cream.

Dad had a big blow out!!!

Notice the happy face!!   Thank you all for a memorable and happy 70th birthday..    love Dad
