Love is in the air!

Dad sure made a sweet valentine gift this year. It was two rows of primroses stacked on tinfoil covered cake pans (like a wedding cake) and topped with a pretty painted wood heart that said "Be My Valentine" in cut out letters. There was even a chocolate rose. Sweet Dad, Sweet! Between each little plant on the bottom row he placed a cut out paper heart. The other photographs in this blos show our trip to the coast this weekend. We met at one of the tide pools. Ray and Danielle and Scott's family played below and I watched the ocean from the car. Then we ate at Moe's. It was fun. Cocoa and Finn went with us and had a great time. We love you all. Ray and Kathleen

What's happening in February

Scott and Danielle were talking with Dad and this cute plant holder is the result, soon to be a gift for Scott's Mom.
Dad has also been busy building something special for Jennifer and Karl's fabulous handcart trip.
Isn't Dad a wonderful wood worker? He works hard to make things just perfect!
We have a new guest in our home. It is Skippy's poor cousen Topper. Skippy went to live in bird heaven, so Topper came to lift our spirits.
He is a sweet little fellow, just learning to sing. He loves to go after his apple every day. We all wish him well.
No pictures of Mom this time, you can just look at Topper's funny hair and think of me. I think our hair looks just alike. Love..Mom & Dad

Welcome baby new year 2013.

We are happy to start a beautiful new 2013 with  its promise of new and old things to learn & do.
We took away the Merry Christmas sign and now have a "Winter Wreath."
It can stay until February (or April).

Today (January 2) was a fun day.  I picked up Kevin and took him on our favorite ride in
the country.  The afternoon sun was shining through an apple tree, and the apples were
just ablaze.  I went back after with my camera.  It still is a wonderful gift for the new year.
After we got home I gave kevin some chocolate milk and we played the piano for two hours.
He loved it!
Finn is staying the day while Danielle & Scott take the girls to the Portland Zoo.  Finn kept
laying across my feet while I was pedaling.   Kevin laughed.
Dad worked on taking down the Christmas tree as I played the piano.  Kevin thought it funny to see
the branches fall down.  The room smelled like fresh pine.  It was fun to be together.
After taking Kevin home.   Danielle & Scott arrived and we went to pizza.   Yum!
The girl's toys are put out for a new year of play.

We will keep these memories in our hearts, and look forward to many adventures.  Love to
all from Mom & Dad
